All parents are members of the Parent Club. The
PC Board is a working group whose main function is to organize Parent Club meetings, plan fund-raising activities, promote the parent involvement program, and coordinate room-parents. They help insure a working relationship among students, teachers and parents.
How Parents Can Help
-
Take an active interest in your child's work and life at school.
-
Get to know their classmates and teachers by making plans in advance to spend some volunteer time driving for a field trip, helping out in the classroom, etc.;
-
Encourage creative projects, independent inquiry and extra reading at home;
-
Be alert to difficulties your child may be having in the classroom or on the playground and notify the teacher or counselor as soon as a concern arises;
-
Read carefully each issue of The Ram Review so that you will be aware of school activities, requirements, sports, special events, student achievements and free dress days;
-
Give your child all the time and support they may need for special projects and assignments ... but let the final product be their own.
