Dear
Good Shepherd Families,
First
of all, thank you for the warm welcome I
have received from so many families,
students and staff.
Smiling faces have approached me
at church, on campus and at the
athletics awards assembly to make me
feel an immediate part of the Good
Shepherd family.
In particular, I would like to
thank Mr. Pelz' second-grade class and
Ms. Rebol’s fifth-grade class for
their personal and heartfelt welcome
letters.
I have enjoyed meeting many of
you in my brief visits to the school and
I am excited about the opportunity to
guide Good Shepherd through this next
phase in its rich history.
As
many of you know, I am a member of
Resurrection Catholic Community and an
alumnus of Good Shepherd.
Many things have changed since my
elementary experience, yet there is a
tinge of nostalgia as I wander in and
out of familiar buildings.
I love being back in the
community in which I was raised. The
decision to take this position came with
many days of prayer and consideration.
I am confident that this is where
I am supposed to be at this point in my
life.
With your necessary support, we
will continue to do great things.
The
commitment it will take to be an
effective administrator includes the
sacrifice of my family.
I am grateful to my wife, Hana,
and to my two young children.
This is a ministry to which God
is calling all of us and I pray every
day for guidance and insight.
In this ministry, I want Good
Shepherd to be a place where students
feel safe to explore, create and expand
a love of learning.
I am confident that I will
provide the leadership expected of a
Catholic steward and a devoted educator.
Although
I will be in and out of school
unofficially throughout the month of
July, my first day will be August 1.
Please contact the school office
staff with any questions or concerns
during the summer and I will reply as
soon as possible.
I am looking forward to a
tremendous first year with all of you.
In
Christ,
Dan
