Good Shepherd Catholic School (K-8) is located on the border between Soquel and Santa Cruz, and is a joint venture of three Catholic parishes: Saint Joseph's in Capitola, Resurrection in
Aptos and Star of the Sea in Santa Cruz. Founded in 1963, and including an active preschool and an effective extended-day program, the school is designed to match the needs of families who wish an affordable Catholic education for their children in the context of a challenging and values-based environment.
Accreditation
Good Shepherd Catholic School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA).

Hours
The K-8 program operates from 8:00 A.M. until 2:30 P.M. daily. Preschool hours are 8:00 A.M. until noon. The preschool extended-care program is open until 2:30 P.M. The K-8 extended-care program is open until 6:00 P.M. Hot lunch is available several days per week. Sports clinics and programs are offered at all grade levels. After-school classes include art, chorus, and yearbook.
