Student Field Trips
All students, accompanied by staff and volunteer parents, take regular field trips to museums, scientific institutions, theatres and other places of educational or cultural interest.
(Volunteer parents who transport
students in their vehicles must fill
out and submit a Driver
Information Form prior to the
event.)
Examples include, but are not limited to:
Age
of Sail, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Steinbeck Museum, Rosacrucian Egyptian Museum, Long Marine Lab, Wilder Ranch, Año Nuevo, The San Francisco Planetarium, Driscoll Strawberries, Oak Tree Villa, Elkhorn Slough, Mystery Spot, Santa Cruz County Fair, the
Gold Country, National Steinbeck Center and the Tech Museum in San Jose.
Sixth and seventh grade students also participate in 3- to 5-day science programs at Marin Headlands and Yosemite, respectively. All eighth graders enjoy a week in Washington D.C. and colonial Williamsburg as part of their junior high social studies program.
