of my five siblings and I
went through Good
Shepherd. My second-oldest
sister, Catherine, was a
member of the first
graduating class. My dad,
Thomas Garske, built the
stage in the gym and the
Principal’s office. My
mom, Dorothy Garske,
volunteered under many
hats, a few of which were
school nurse and
librarian. I am so pleased
that my younger daughter
has the opportunity to go
here as well.

is a wonderful combination of
high academic standards and
caring, faith-based community.
After 24 years of teaching, I
finally have the opportunity
to really know my students and
their families, and for them
to know me. The faculty and
administration are very close
and supportive, as are the
parents of my students. I
really feel as though God has
brought me home!
Miscellaneous
information
I
have two daughters, one at
Good Shepherd and one at
Soquel High School. I am a
music minister at Resurrection
Church and also help with
music at the school’s
liturgies. And, I have a
classroom full of snakes and
reptiles!
