Gabriella
Nathan
My
name is Gabriella Nathan but close
family and friends have always
known me as "Bria". My
passion has always been working
with children. I grew up locally
attending Holy Cross Catholic
School and then commuted to
Archbishop Mitty Catholic High
School in San Jose. I feel that my
Catholic school background and
upbringing have been the support
system for the pride I have in my
values. I have been involved at
Holy Cross, San Agustin, and St.
Joseph's throughout my life. I was
even the first female altar server
at Holy Cross!
My
parents have been heavily involved
in the Retrouvaille community,
helping people work towards
healing their marriages. I am
recently married to a wonderful
man, Artie Nathan, who is a
Program Manager for Apple and who
also has years of experience
working with children through the
YMCA. I would not be who I am
today without the support of my
family, friends and
community.
I
began teaching second grade at
Good Shepherd Catholic School in
the fall of 2009. I studied Child
Development at Sacramento State
University and continued my
education through Bethany
University earning a Masters
degree in Education and my
Multi-Subject Teaching Credential.
Throughout my student teaching I
worked within special education
programs as well as in English
Language Development classrooms. I
enjoy any opportunity to implement
cross-curricular learning. If I
can make learning fun for my
students, then I have encouraged
life-long learners to be curious
about what the future holds.
The
Good Shepherd staff and
administration support is always
welcoming and encouraging. I could
not have asked for a better
community to be a part of.
