Patty Duffy
My
name is Patty Duffy.
My joy and passion has always
been our family:
my husband, Jim; daughter
Christine, who is married and a physical therapist;
John, an accountant living in San
Jose; Megan, a senior at San Francisco
State, where she is studying
to be an elementary school teacher;
and our grandchild, Kiera Duffy Watson. All three of our children
attended Good Shepherd Catholic School
because it supports our values.
My second joy and
passion is teaching first grade at
Good Shepherd Catholic School since
1995.
I feel God’s call to help our
young people appreciate the gift of
reading and share my faith in Jesus.
I have felt this calling since
a young person.
I studied at San Jose State
College, acquiring credentials to
teach elementary and special
education. In addition, I have an
accounting, secretarial degree and a
catechist certificate for teaching
religion.
We have attended
Resurrection catholic Community since
the late 1970s.
It is a very loving community
that has strengthened our faith and
guided our family values in raising
our children.
I am guided in life by a
central, humbling and unifying
question – What would Jesus do?
