Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is there a deadline to apply to the school?                                                              

No, GSCS offers rolling admissions. We recommend that you submit your application early to ensure that your child has a place in his or her class.

Must my child(ren) participate in screening process before admittance into the K-8 School Program?        

Yes. GSCS will arrange a convenient time for applicants to be assessed.

Does GSCS offer an After School Program?                                                                    

Yes.  We offer a Student Extended Program (a.k.a. S.E.P.)

What is the makeup of the GSCS student population?                  

GSCS embraces the diversity of our local area in both ethnicity and religious affiliation. In this spirit, we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, color, national origin, or any other characteristics.

Does GSCS offer tuition assistance?                                                                               

Yes. GSCS offers need-based tuition assistance. Financial Aid is awarded solely on a family's financial need. FACTS Management applications are available mid-January for the upcoming school year.

GSCS uses a third party (FACTS Managment) to evaluate the need level of each family. Parents can pick up the application at the school office or by clicking this FACTS link (available January 15, 2017). The application and required documentation should be mailed directly to FACTS. Does applying for tuition assistance influence the admission decision?                     

No. GSCS accepts students based on academic merit, teacher evaluations, and screening results. Tuition Assistance Applications are reviewed independently from the admission process.

Can I pay my tuition in installments?                                                                             

Yes. GSCS offers three different payment plans through FACTS Tuition Management: a one-time payment, a two-time payment, or a monthly invoice plan. GSCS also offers a tuition discount to families with multiple children.
